Before the mid 90s, oil and gas E & P companies were at the mercy of a cartel of major OEM pressure control product companies who shut out competitors and drove up prices. Alex Kiss, a veteran oil and gas entrepreneur, saw an opportunity to change that. Alex traveled to best-price countries, found alternative suppliers and developed a high quality supply chain for pressure control products.

In 1995, Wellhead Distributors International was born, breaking the Cartel’s stranglehold, and permanently reducing prices to US oil and gas operators everywhere. The booms and busts over the next two decades made WDi recognize the need to diversify. TKG Energy Solutions Group made strategic investments and brought together a group of complimentary, best-in-class oil and gas product and service companies.

These portfolio companies all reside under the umbrella of the newly-formed TKG Energy Solutions Group.
